Cryptic Crosswords

Mondays at 10am to 11am

Room: 202

Contact:  Mary Dynan

The Cryptic Crossword Group came together in September 2005. We have now been puzzling together happily for 12 years. There are 6 regular members. Others have come and gone. We would be interested in a couple of extra members but would not like the group to get much bigger than 7-8 people. In the unlikely event of a rush of members another group would really be better. We generally use crosswords downloaded from the Internet to give us variety, though we also do crosswords from the Observer and Guardian. We usually complete three crosswords in the hour.  We have enjoyed doing crosswords fiom the U3A Matters and are amazed at the cleverness of the U3As who compile them. The Saga crossword has us stumped! The current members like the Monday 10am time slot as they say it gives their brains a good workout at the start of the week.
Come and join us.
