This group is part of the Reading For Pleasure session which takes place on the 3rd Friday of most months. We meet for the Poetry at 10.10 a.m. and have a cup of coffee at 11a.m. before the Book Group meeting at 11.30. You can attend either or both sessions as you please.

The Poetry Session has proved very successful as a self-help arrangement. A member of the group is responsible for the content at each session in turn, and we are all pleasantly surprised and delighted with the very different and varied contributions – ranging from Australian poetry to Ulster-Scots and dialect poetry, war poetry, nature poetry and favourite Irish poems.  We hope that the same arrangement will pertain this year and Renee Murphy is setting the ball rolling at the first meeting. We hope to get the roster for the rest of the year settled at our first meeting on 15th September.
We look forward to welcoming new members into our group.
